Event Description Presented by Master Walters, Korean Martial Arts Institute Senior Instructor, Hockessin Karate. Participants will learn modern, practical self-protection techniques and learn strategies and tactics to defend themselves and loved ones. Subjects covered will include: Psychology of Self-Defense, Environmental Awareness, Crime Prevention, Striking Techniques and Targeting, Breakaway and Pain Compliance Skills, Defending while standing, kneeling, and lying on the ground, Defense against weapons, Using improvised weapons, and more! Rob has over 25 years experience studying the martial arts and nearly 19 years as a full-time professional. He specializes in self-defense clinics and has taught (and been taught by) state, county, local and federal law enforcement agents. His most recent work in this field was teaching defensive tactics to the brand-new Middletown Police Department, working with US Postal inspectors teaching interns and teaching hand-to-hand combat for a US Army Reserve unit in Philadelphia.
