Doctor of Nursing Practice Information Session

Thursday, June 13, 2013
10:30-11:00 AM
Online

Recent changes in health care delivery and emerging health care needs have made advanced nursing knowledge essential for practicing nurses. The Wilmington University Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program prepares nurses to meet those rising demands.

Please join Wilmington University for an Information Session for the Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

What is DNP?

The DNP is the highest practice-focused degree in nursing, designed to prepare experts in specialized advanced practice nursing. Unlike a Ph.D in nursing, DNP program study emphasizes clinical practice versus research and academic pursuits.

Why WilmU DNP?

The WilmU DNP program delivers an innovative curriculum emphasizing healthcare engineering and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty, hospitals, community leaders, and policy makers. Students learn to utilize both theory and data to promote the highest quality of care at the advanced level of professional nursing practice.

Login instructions will be provided via email a week prior. Please provide an email you regularly check.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program application deadline is June 15.

Register above via the yellow "register" button. Seats are limited, so register today!

Event Image Master's Information Session at Cumberland County College
4:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Cumberland

MSN and MSE Information Session

Location:
Cumberland County College
Date: Wednesday, July 31, 2013
Time: 4:30 - 7:00 p.m.

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed to prepare professional nurses for roles in advanced practice. The curriculum emphasizes the relationships among advanced nursing practice, theory, and scholarly inquiry. Nurses educated at the graduate level demonstrate competency in the roles of advanced caregiver, leader, teacher, and participant in and/or conductor of research. Nurses prepared at the graduate level also have the opportunity to influence health policy and to practice with a high level of autonomy in a variety of settings.

Also, please join us to find out more about our Master’s in Special Education Program.

Students with special needs must be taught by professionals who are trained in the identification, assessment, and teaching of individuals with exceptionalities. To reach this goal, the Master of Education in Special Education program has three distinct options which allow the master's candidate to focus on his/her individual needs and career goals. This program reflects an inclusion model of special education service delivery.

Faculty and staff look forward to discussing your academic future with you very soon.

Change your future and register today!  Click the yellow registration button at the top of the page.
