Doctor of Nursing Practice and Post-Masters Nurse Executive Certificate

This dual option provides students the opportunity to earn a Post-Masters Nurse Executive Certificate and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) simultaneously. The Post-Masters Nurse Executive Certificate and DNP combined option will provide a solid academic and practical foundation for master's prepared nurses interested in a career as a nurse executive.

Nurse Executive Certificate

The Nurse Executive Certificate is designed for nurses interested in entrepreneurial and executive leadership roles in health care.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree

Nurses in advanced practice roles need to have forward-thinking clinical expertise and leadership skills at their command to promote the application and implementation of evidence-based practices linked to original scientific research. Accomplishing this goal requires the application of health policy, informatics, population health, and business practices to the care of individuals, families, and communities. The DNP is a terminal degree designed to prepare advanced nurses to meet the nation's increasingly complex healthcare needs.
