Biography
Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack serves as the Dean of the College of Business. She joined WilmU as the Chair of the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program in August 2016. Prior to this, she served as a full-time faculty member in the DBA program, College of Business for one year and as an adjunct in the Master of Business Administration program, College of Business for more than 10 years.
Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack came to WilmU from the Federal Highway Administration in Washington DC where she served on the Program Management Improvement Team. This is a nationally recognized team designed to improve the operations and financial functions of the Federal Highway Traffic Safety Administration (FHWA). Prior to this appointment, she served as a Team Leader/ Financial Manager in the DelMar FHWA Division office in 2011. This appointment covered both Delaware and Maryland financial apportionments for transportation agencies.
Prior to her work with the federal government, Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack worked for 25 years in State government. Her most recent appointment in state government was as the Finance Director for the Delaware Department of Transportation from 2004 to 2011.
Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack is a certified instructor with the National Highway Institute and a Licensed Real Estate Agent. In her spare time she serves the community as a fitness instructor for Kent County Parks and Recreation in Delaware.
Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack completed her doctoral research on the topic of tolerance for increased funding options to support transportation programs/projects in August 2015. She also holds an MBA, a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and an Associates’ Degree in Computer Engineering.
Dr. Kennedy-Ratajack serves as Board Chair for Jobs for Delaware Graduates Board and as the Program Chair on the Board of the Salvation Army.
