Biography
Katelyn Shaffer, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP is the Assistant Chair of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program within the College of Health Professions and Natural Sciences.
Dr. Shaffer completed her undergraduate degree at Franklin & Marshall College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. She completed a second bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Drexel University. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing, from Drexel University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University.
Dr. Shaffer is an ANCC, nationally board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Addictions Specialist. She maintains an active clinical practice, caring for patients with complex mental health diagnoses, in the Philadelphia region.
