Biography
Jodee’s involvement at Wilmington University (WilmU) is extensive and impactful. She actively participates in Epsilon Pi Tau the leading honor society for technology, WilmU’s Curriculum Committee, WilmU’s Adjunct Promotions Committee, WilmU’s Mathematics Advisory Board, and WilmU’s Computer Science Advisory Board. Her contributions are invaluable and continue to shape the future of education.
Jodee's spirit and creativity are etched in technology, business, and entrepreneurship. She is pursuing her doctoral degree at Wilmington University, in the Organizational Management, Learning, and Innovation program.
Revolutionized Pre-Paid Wireless
In 2003, Jodee spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative by launching pre-paid wireless services in the United States. At Virgin Mobile USA, a $500M startup, Jodee transformed the retail landscape, making mobile communication accessible to a wider audience with marketing and distribution with Walmart's headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Pioneered Mobile Gaming
From 2005 to 2012 Jodee continued to push boundaries by venturing into the nascent field of mobile gaming. As a driving force behind Gameloft (now Vivendi), she introduced captivating games to the U.S. market.
Jodee forged a strategic alliance with Apple, positioning Digital Chocolate (founder of Electronic Arts, Trip Hawkins) as a strategic partner for mobile game development on Apple's iPhone. Jodee's contributions extended to the 2010 launch of the iPad, where she developed video games that showcased the device’s capabilities. Simultaneously, Jodee played a pivotal role in shaping the Android ecosystem through the Google Play Store.
Educator and Technology Visionary
Jodee transitioned into education, becoming an early adopter of technology instruction. As a teacher, she imparted knowledge on video game design and development using Unity. This was an innovative approach that empowered students to explore their creativity and technical skills.
Immersive Technologies and AI Algorithms
In the summer of 2017, Jodee delved into cutting-edge technologies. Jodee's collaboration with Oculus and the U.S. Navy brought augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences to create an innovation center at Monmouth University. Simultaneously, she worked with AI algorithms, fine-tuning advertising recommendation systems.
Python Certification and the Foundation of AI
Jodee recognized the significance of Python as the foundation for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Her certifications in Python solidified her expertise, positioning herself at the forefront of the AI revolution.
She advised and founded Robotics and Video game clubs at the Middle School and High School levels. Jodee also partnered with JPMorgan Chase for students to participate in Computer Science competitions.
Ahead of the Curve with AI in Education
Even before AI gained widespread popularity, Jodee championed its integration into Computer Science classroom lessons. Her foresight and commitment to innovation continue to shape the next generation of tech enthusiasts.
Jodee is a true inspiration and a trailblazer who not only adapts to change but actively drives it. Her acceptance into the AWS Machine Learning Educator program is a testament to her dedication and expertise. Additionally, she has secured Nvidia’s 2024 Artificial Intelligence and Data Science curriculum for Wilmington University Computer Science students, further showcasing her commitment to advancing education.
