Biography

Robert brings a wealth of experience and artistic talent to the College of Technology

His artistic talents were recognized by local artists and teachers at a young age. His dedication to art earned him prestigious awards, including the Scholastic Art Awards Gold Key and the New Jersey Governors Art Awards, which provided a scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design where he graduated with a BFA in Illustration and trained in the Disney Animation pre-apprentice program.

While continuing to practice animation and fine art, his talents and passion grew for golf. He pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a PGA Professional, attaining membership in the PGA of America in 2003. Throughout his career in professional golf, he continued to develop his artistic talents which evolved into advertising, animation and marketing responsibilities for respected organizations including Golf Galaxy/Dicks Sporting Goods. His work included 3D modeling designs for animated holiday commercials, local marketing designs and fine art commissions.

In 2014, Robert joined Wilmington University as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Technology. He earned a master’s in applied technology in Education in 2017 from Wilmington University and has instructed courses in 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Multi-Media Design, Game Design and Development and Motion Graphics. He instructs students using state-of-the-art software, including Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Toon Boom, Unity, and Adobe Creative Suite, to create cutting-edge animations, special effects, gaming, and digital graphic arts.

Robert enjoys the digital arts, animation and he continues to work on traditional mediums like paper and canvas daily.
