Biography
Lynn Moore has been associated with Wilmington University for over 25 years. He began with the University as an adjunct and became the General Studies Program Coordinator for Georgetown and Rehoboth in August 2007. In July 2008, Lynn was promoted to Assistant Professor, became a member of the Faculty Senate, and was appointed to the Faculty Development Committee. Lynn was promoted to Chair of the History Department in 2012 and currently serves in that capacity. He has also been the Academic Mentor for the WilmU Wildcats Baseball team the last 4 years.
In addition to his work with the University, Lynn is the former owner of a family real estate business located in Millsboro, Delaware. He has been heavily involved in community and high school sports as a coach, scout and basketball referee. As one of the founders of Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown, Lynn has served on that institution’s Board of Directors since 1999. He is also Executive Vice President of Historic Georgetown Association which is involved in preserving Georgetown’s past and assisting town officials in looking ahead to the future. He resides near Georgetown with his wife, Judy, who is a retired elementary school educator, and they have two children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
