Use Your Elective to Customize Your Certificate

This undergraduate management certificate consists of 5 courses, or 15 credits. Students complete four required core courses: Introduction to Business, Foundations of People Management, Foundations of Innovative Leadership, and Managing Diversity. You can select the remaining three credits to align with your career objectives from an approved list of business, sociology, psychology, human resource management, and sport management courses.

You can get a head start on a degree by applying credits from the Essentials of People Management certificate to WilmU bachelor degrees in Human Resource Management, Business Management, and Organizational Leadership. Plus, many of the courses can be applied to an additional certificate in Human Resource Management and/or Training and Staff Development. This program can also utilize 1-credit “micro-courses." Three of these single-credit workshop-style courses can stack into the equivalent of one three-credit elective course, giving you further options for customizing your certificate.
