Canvas Training for Faculty
The Canvas LMS provides faculty and students with an intuitive, fast, and engaging online experience. This LMS allows users to access course materials, complete assignments, and communicate with faculty. It has various tools for delivering learning content, engaging online learners, and measuring performance.
New Faculty Orientation (NFO)
All new faculty begin their training journey at Wilmington University by completing the New Faculty Orientation (NFO), which focuses on the Wilmington University Teaching Expectations, the use of Canvas, and the value of offering productive feedback for our students. Faculty at Wilmington University are required to complete both parts of NFO before being assigned a course. Visit the New Faculty Orientation page for more information about this initial training.
Wilmington University offers extensive training opportunities for current faculty, including many centered on the best uses of Canvas. Faculty can complete workshops on topics such as gradebook, groups, and accessibility.
Various workshops are offered in both online live and self-paced formats. To see a list of all the offerings and to register for workshops, use your WilmU email to access our Learning Center.
Video trainings are also available for reviewing various Canvas tools and functions.
