Spring 2026 Conference on Teaching Excellence

CTE's Spring 2026 Conference Logo of Teaching in Action: This Is How We Do It. A circular green and gold logo with the title ‘Teaching in Action’ at the top. A wide green banner across the center reads ‘This Is How We Do It,’ with smaller text underneath saying ‘Conference on Teaching Excellence Spring 2026.’ At the bottom of the circle are three simple line‑style icons: a person presenting at a screen labeled ‘Demonstrate,’ a person using a laptop with a lightbulb above labeled ‘Do,’ and a group of people with speech bubbles labeled ‘Discuss.’ Curved arrows connect the three icons. Please join us online this March 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., for our Spring 2026 conference titled, "Teaching in Action: This Is How We Do It." Guided by the theme, "This is how I would do it," this conference invites faculty to engage with practical, learner-centered technologies in real-time. Organized into two parts of the day, we begin with the first segment called, AI in Academia: Designing What Comes Next followed by Engagement by Design: Learning that Flourishes.

AI in Academia: Designing What Comes Next

A panel presentation that provides an overview of the AI in Academia resource.  Quick, high-impact demonstrations will showcase the AI related work being done on campus and provide the audience with tangible applications to their teaching practice via AI prompting scripts.

Engagement by Design: Learning that Flourishes

In this mini-workshop series participants explore ready-to-implement strategies that boost student engagement and deepen learning.  Discover efficient grading approaches, impactful multimedia feedback techniques, and creative ways to redesign traditional assessments into dynamic, multimodal learning experiences.
