Microsoft OneDrive for Students
Who Can Use Microsoft OneDrive via WilmU?
Any student who is actively taking classes at Wilmington University receives a Microsoft 365 for Students account. Access to use Microsoft through Wilmington University will be discontinued after graduation, stopping enrollment, or becoming employed by Wilmington University. Please regularly backup or sync all files to your personal computer to avoid losing files and data.
OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud service. It provides storage and protection to files, share files with others, and get to any files in OneDrive from any devices logged into a student's My WilmU account. When using OneDrive, this may sometimes be called "OneDrive for work or school."
How to Access Microsoft OneDrive
Here are step by step directions:
- Log in to your MyWilmU portal.
- Find and select My Email to open Outlook on the web.
- Click the waffle icon at the top-left corner of your browser window.
- Click the cloud icon labeled OneDrive in the pop out menu options, which may open in a new tab.
- This opens the homepage of OneDrive. Students may access any files that are saved to OneDrive.
If OneDrive is installed onto your computer (see Microsoft 365 for Students for how to install) and your computer is set to sync files, all synced files will also appear in this OneDrive library. This OneDrive library allows students to access any files on any devices logged into a student's My WilmU account.
